"ALOO TIKKA"A VERY GOOD SNACK ITEM AND ALSO AS A SIDE DISH IN SAMBHAR,RASAM



INGREDIENTS:


POTATOES
4
OIL
FOR DEEP FRY
SALT
AS DESIRED
RED CHILI POWDER
1/2TSP
DHANIYA POWDER
1/2TSP
AMCHUR/DRY MANGO POWDER
1/2TSP


METHOD:
  • FIRSTLY CHOP THE POTATOES IN TO SLICES AND KEEP THEM SALT WATER ,SO THAT IT DOES NOT CHANGES ITS COLOUR.
  • HEAT OIL IN A KADAI,ADD THE POTATO SLICES AND FRY IT FOR 3 MINUTES IN MEDIUM FLAME,  UNTIL IT TURNS LITTLE BROWN.AND REMOVE IT FROM OIL AND PLACE THEM ON A TISSUE PAPER .
  • KINDLY TAP THEM WITH TISSUE PAPER SO THAT THE OIL GETS ABSORBED.
  • BEFORE SERVING AGAIN DEEP FRY IT IN THE OIL ,UNTIL IT TURNS TO GOLDEN BROWN
  • REMOVE THEM OIL ,IMMEDIETLY SPRINKLE THE DESIRED SALT,CHILI POWDER,AMCHUR POWDER,DHANIYA POWDER
  • SERVE IT WITH SAMBHAR,RASAM AND ALSO AS SNACKS
NOTES:

  • NO NEED TO DEEP FRY IT IN THE FIRST,WE CAN FRY IT  AS DESIRED LIKE CRISPY AND GOLDEN BROWN IN THE SECOND TIME
  • BE CAREFUL WHILE ADDING SALT LASTLY, BECAUSE WE IMMERSE THE SLICES IN SALT WATER SO THIS ABSORBS SOME SALT
