CHANA BATURA


CHANA BATURA TASTY RECIPE.ENJOYED EATING CHANA BATURA .USUALLY BATURA IS PREPARED USING MAIDA,BUT I USED WHEAT  FLOUR FOR MAKING BATURA.



INGREDIENTS:

Chick peas/Chana
1cup
Tomatoes
4
Onion
3
Ginger Garlic Paste
1tsp
Turmeric powder
pinch
Red chili powder
1tsp
Salt
As Desired
Garam masala/Chana masala
½ tsp
TO TEMPER

Oil
1tsp
Cardamom
2
Bay leaf
2
Cloves
3
Cinamon
½ inch
TO GRIND

Coconut
¼ cup
Fennel
½ tsp
Fried Bengal gram
2tsp
TO GARNISH

Onion (chopped)

Lemon

Coriander(chopped)


METHOD:

Soak Chana Over Night and Pressure Cook Directly In a Pressure Cooker With Water Enough To Immerse Chana Up To 3 Whistles.

Heat Oil in a Kadai,Temper The Items Given Under Temper Table,Add Chopped Onions Fry It Till Transparent,Add Ginger Garlic Paste,Stir It Until Raw Smell Dissappears.

Add Chopped Tomatoes Saute it Until it Becomes Soft,Add Salt,Redchili Powder,Garam Masala and Turmeric.

Give it a stir,Add the Grinded Paste To The Cooked Gravy,And Fry It In Low Flame For 5 Minutes Until Raw Smell Goes Off.Add Chopped Coriander And Stir It.

Add Water(2 cups),ChickPeas/Chana Mix Well.Cook For 10 minutes Till You Get Desired Constitency.

SERVE HOT WITH POORI/BHATURA/ROTI

Garnish with little chopped coriander leaves and squeeze the lemon juice and mix well. Add chopped raw onions on top while you serve,tastes good with more lime juice on top if desired.
