Organic Chikki
INGREDIENTS: Peanuts 100 Grams Ghee 3 tsp Jaggery 250Grams Salt Pinch Method: Roast Peanuts in a pan approx (5-6) minutes, stir continuously to prevent burning Let roasted peanuts cool for 3-4 minutes, remove the skin while it is warm and break them in to halves. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel in low flame, add jaggery and stir continuously on low flame. Add 1 cup of water to it stir it and cook for 5-6 Minutes. Check consistency by dropping a small drop in a bowl filled with water. if jaggery drops and turns in to small drop and sits at the bottom of the bowl then it is cooked otherwise cook it for more time and repeat. Turn of the flame, add peanuts, and mix until the peanuts are half coated with jaggery. Heat surface of a big plate with ghee, pour the peanuts and make them into square shapes or small lemon sized balls.
